Cookies
SafeToPay uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, protect the service and remember reports you ran before creating an account. We do not use advertising cookies. If we add analytics, it will be listed here and will ask for consent first.
What we set
| Name / type | Set by | Purpose | Lasts | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Session and authentication cookies | app.safetopay.co.uk | Keep you signed in to your account | Session / up to 30 days | Strictly necessary |
| Security cookies | app.safetopay.co.uk | Protect forms and sign-in from abuse | Session | Strictly necessary |
stp_recent_checks (local storage) | app.safetopay.co.uk | Remember reports you ran before creating an account so they can be attached to it | Until cleared | Strictly necessary |
| WordPress cookies | safetopay.co.uk | Only for signed-in editors of this site | Session | Strictly necessary |
| Payment provider cookies | Payment provider, during checkout only | Fraud prevention and completing payment | Per provider | Strictly necessary |
What we do not set
No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no social media pixels. Reports show data from Google’s Business Profile API; that request is made by our server, not your browser, so Google does not set cookies on you through us.
Analytics
At the time of this version we run no analytics cookies. If we add privacy-preserving analytics, this page will list the tool, the cookies and the retention, and non-essential cookies will be set only with your consent.
Controlling cookies
You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop sign-in from working; free checks without an account still work.
